So my conure, Birdie, lost her cage mate last weekend. I've mentioned it in other posts and honestly she seems to be taking it well and doesn't seem sad at all, but...

It used to be I had to change out her pellet bowl every two days or so because it was full of crumbs. I haven't had to change it since last Saturday.

I'm worried she got so used to social eating with her cage mate that she isn't eating as much. I will admit that I don't weigh my birds as often as I should, I do plan to weigh her later tonight but I have no baseline to compare it to.

Now. I have been giving her more nutriberries than usual so it's entirely possible that I'm just looking for reasons to be anxious. But I literally haven't even seen her touch her pellets all week and I don't know how to encourage her to eat.

She always used to eat at the same time as my cockatiel Bitty, from the same bowl, and I'm worried she's become such a social eater than she won't eat anything by herself anymore :/...

Any thoughts...?

get your own food and eat next to her cage. That might help.
