Are fresh crab apple branches/ twigs safe for parrots to nibble on? I know it’s safe for rabbits and there is some cross over. I am just not find anything on crab apple branches with leaves still attached.

These branches are not treated With anything and is health

Thank you!

Determining if wood is safe is about more than just the type of wood itself-- even safe wood that is cut outside can develop fungi, bacterial issues, mold, insects etc. You must determine if the wood is safe, then make sure the bark is safe, then think about if the tree was exposed to run-off (like road salts or pesticides or fertilizer), then wash it and bake it to ensure that it doesn't bring in new risks.

Wait--- OP said crab apple....Not sure if Fllboy meant "apple". I just looked crab apple trees up though and it does seem like they are (from what I have read). https://mdvaden.com/bird_page.shtml
