And the more whimsical ones... Fruitcake Shuffle Day, National Re-gifting Day, Free Shipping Day, and many more.
And the one-of-a-kind reasons... like those of you whose birthdays fall in December, or those of you who celebrate an Anniversary of some kind, or those of you who have a first-time occasion coming up (Housewarming --- Home-coming --- Something else)??

This Month’s contest opens on December 1 and continues until December 29, at which time a Poll will be posted, which will end on the evening of December 31. The results will be announced on January 1. The Winner will receive a Premium Membership for one year and the photo will adorn the Forum’s Front Page for the Month of January! Please keep in mind that we have a large number of Junior Members and we need to keep the subject matter appropriate for all ages. As with all Parrot Forums activities, the Organization’s Rules apply in all cases. NOTE: We recommend not using Photobucket as it continues to disappear.​

I know, I know. Well deserved bounty on my head for that one. It's all in fun. At least I pre-acknowledged it being poor taste. Being a musician sort, bad replacement lyrics spew forth more often than not in my house, and on stage on occasion. (Ask my wife and kids!)
