Hello
I noticed Moses has darker blackish feathers lately.
I was told that he needs to get more direct sunlight?
also it appears that it is not real dark or black and their are no black lines in the feather. It looks likes mostly on his back.
I love my Moses and I juust want to tamke sure it is not uncommon.
I will attach a pic of what i notice
thank you for any and all advice for dark feathers on our eckies:)

Really is so handsome.

I don’t see anything concerning. His whole back/wings seem a little darker than I might expect but their feathers are quite iridescent (believe it or not, they communicate partly by flashing UV light off their feathers), so that could easily be just a light issue. When was the last time he molting.

Hello
I believe you are correct.
I read about that before and I also think it is a light issue.
I go out with Moses in the Sunshine usually everyday and the feathers shine in the sunlight.
I heard that is there is a black line through the feathers that could be an issue:( but he is OK.
Thank you again my friend.
