Yes, and flies with no problem. These feathers look horrible too. The new ones are bright and healthy.

Do birds pluck feathers as gifts? Very silly question. I use feathers in my jewelery and in crafts. Not his, but maybe. Need advice.

As gifts? No.
They pluck when molting or when they're stressed.

It's normal to find a feather every once in a while but a lot all at once is usually not a good sign.
 
He is having a heavy molt, some birds molt fast and others just a few at a time.
