I must say that I have a really brave bird. I have two dogs as well, both are boxers and extremely curious. They are the most loveable dogs in the world and would not hurt a fly (unless it tried to hurt me first). Clifford is so funny! The dogs will walk up to his cage to tell him hello, and he will lunge forward almost like he would fly through the bars and tear the poor puppies to pieces. I know its got to be a little scary for him seeing the two big dogs, but hes not scared of them, hes jealous.
This morning, my boyfriend was walking around with Clifford on his shoulder like normal and all of the sudden Clifford jumped to the floor and started running tword the living room where the poor helpless dogs were sleeping, all while screaming his head off. I swear he was screaming "attack! kill the puppies! take no prisoners." We have hard wood floors so Clifford manuvers much better than the dogs do on the floor and the poor dogs tried to run for their lives, but couldnt get a grip on the floor. So by the time I get there to calm things down, I have two 80 pound dogs standing on the back of my couch afraid for their lives and a bird on the floor underneath pacing back and forth yelling at them.
I was afraid for Clifford's life! One innocent paw swipe from a dog and Clifford's a gonner, but it seems like hes the one to be scared of!
Now that I'm not so scared I can't stop laughing. Seeing that bird run full speed ahead and yell was the funniest thing I have ever seen! Now I know to put the dogs in the yard while Clifford is out so they will not get mauled by birdie.
