Hi all,
I have a 3 month old Conure who loves sleeping in (and on top of) his happy hut similar to the picture I attached.
I've heard of horror stories of conures getting stuck in the thread of these huts and chewing off their leg or wings to get loose. I read about the dangers only after I've introduced him to it. I know how important the hut is for my conure's sleep. Plus I can't imagine him trying to sleep on his perch all 10 hours and feel comfortable (he is clumsy and would slip off sometimes).
Are there any safer alternatives to the happy hut? Either store bought or made? I was thinking something made of materials similar to the nests they'd have in the wilds. I need some advice please! Thank you in advance!
