My macaw likes to sit in the window. So I put him there quite often. Heās been screaming a lot the last few days. Every time I look out the window there was nothing. I assumed he was just screaming to scream, and randomly showed his wings out the window because he has anger issues.
Last night my husband and I were sitting outside because it was hot in our house. We rarely turn on our AC. As we were sitting there a Cooperās hawk came out of the tree, and snatched up a black bird from the ground eating worms. Our ring camera has it on video. Itās a little graphic. The black bird flock tried to chase after the hawk but the the bird it grabbed was dead by the time it landed 6 doors down on the ground. The hawk ate the black bird, and the black bird flock sat on 2 roof tops watching the hawk eat. The black birds were making calls.
Iām a little weirded out because I take Nico for walks on my shoulder all of the time. I would have never imagined a hawk waiting in silence in a tree for the opportunity to grab a bird. My husband and I discussed it, and Nico wonāt be going for walks anymore. We walk under a lot of trees, and you really canāt see whatās lurking in them. Nextly my macaw was actually screaming for reasons. I feel a little bad because I thought he just has some anger issues.
