Hey guys!
I made a thread a few days ago concerning making my TOPs pellet powder back into pellets using a dehydrator.
My questions is, how long do I let them dehydrate for? Do I just check them every hour or so?

Edit: I'll be mixing water with the powder!

Anywhere from 6-12 hours depending on the dehydrator - I’d start at 8 and check them. I’m assuming if they’re not done you can seal it back up and leave them in for longer. The main thing is that you don’t want to leave them out at room temp for a long time because they can develop mold or fungus - the dehydrator should run at well above room temp, around 140 degrees or so.

We have for decades been simply taking the powder and sprinkling it on our other dry foods and the Amazon just chews it along with everything else.
Or maybe even on wet food or fruits/ vegetables?

I wonder if you could make a TOPS pellet porridge?

But seriously…I wonder if a binder like gum Arabic or xanthan gum would stick the powder together. Molasses?

How did this experiment go? Haha, my email now gets advertisements for food dehydrators, and it reminded me to check!

It went great! The birds were a bit weary of the texture at first and the new shape but all of them have taken to it! I'm gonna get a pic one sec.
