How would you deal with this?

The "cockatoo bath" is the spray bottle image that was included... which is not needed. Water is good for baths!

Oh right, the image comes up rather blurry to me so I can’t really see it.

Yeah, still is blurry for me, all I can see is that it’s a bottle of some kind when I enlarge it. But doesn’t matter now, you have clarified what it is :)

I’ve just seen this, my heart is so happy for Zak and all of you.

Thank you for taking this little guy in. Sounds like you know what you are doing and thankfully Zak doesn't seem to be emotionally scarred.

He may be afraid of things you won't even consider scary, so when he sees anything for the first time -- the broom, for example -- make sure you watch his reaction so you don't scare him. Approach everything slowly and gently, making no sudden moves and talking to him soothingly all the while. Having been in a garage (!!!!) and ignored for so long he's both going to be desperate for love and attention and terrified of everyday items because he hasn't been living with them. 'Toos, as I'm sure you know, are sensitive and reactive and much like toddlers. But they're such love bugs, too. Poor little guy. I'm so glad you have him now.
