I am so sad :(

Dear Abigail,
I'm so sorry to hear about Clover. This is heartbreaking and I can understand your deep sadness.

Blessings to you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I couldn't imagine losing my little one. How hot was it in the house? I keep mine at 80 and now am worrying that may be too hot?

It was over 90 degrees in the house almost 100 degrees. If your bird is panting and even holding out its wings from its body then the bird is too hot. 80 degrees is not an extreme temperature. I wish I was home at the time so I could have done something about it, I was at work when it happened.

Thanks for this feedback. I can't believe 90f to 100f was enough to cause this :( Really sorry about what happened.

Last summer I do remember the temp going to over 100f on some days. I left the fan and windows on but I didn't realize I got so close to endangering Boomer.

Thanks everyone. I do miss her a lot. I cleaned and disinfected her cage, her perches, and washed and dried her rope perches and happy hut.
