Here's a great opportunity to own a beautiful parrot that is on the endangered species list. He is about a year old, friendly and says a few words and is learning more every day. Due to the fact that he is endangered, he is up for adoption only in Florida. He has powder blue feathers around the back of his head that he stands up when he gets excited. Adoption fee is 900.00 obo.

It's a beautiful bird for sure. I checked and it does appear to be endangered and on Avian Web, they suggested that if you could find one in the pet trade, it should be used for breeding. I guess due to this particular species being endangered.

About 40 years ago, there was a Vinaceous Amazon for sale at an exotic-pet store where I bought supplies for George, the YCA. I've never forgotten how remarkably beautiful that parrot was. Even if I were in Florida, I'd hesitate to follow up on this one though. The combination of Craigslist and an uncommon parrot is a risky one.
