That has been all over FB People are getting emails saying the exact same thing .

Betting all they do is change out *cat* for *dog* *bird*, whatever...
I'm sure it's a SCAM.... Maybe you call the number & get charged a ridiculous amount or something??

Mark, on my other group I posted on, people are really praying for you and concerned as well. The group doesn't even have anything to do with Macaws, but some really caring bird people nonetheless. There is one member who was so sweet, she told me she and her husband will be thinking of ideas today, although they know you've already thought of about everything. Tonight they came up with this for me to tell you.

She said maybe you can record your voice calling for her and talking to her, and send the recording to people who say they've seen her, so if they see her again they can play the recording. It's such a long shot, but it was so nice of her to suggest.

I know you are just totally beside yourself and in indescribable agony over this, but I hope you can nonetheless manage somehow to sleep a little and keep eating. Maggie needs you to be strong when you find her. Hugs Mark.

It's the knot in my stomach. Lost my appetite. Can't really eat much. I'm trying.

I'm only able to sleep a few hours a night. Too upset. Too worried. Trying not to kick myself too much...

No. This is more kids who see the number, and think it's funny to mess with people. Some of that is bound to happen. They don't necessarily think before they act... lack of empathy problem in some teenagers, really.

I think some people are just horrible trolls who have nothing better to do. They probably just got the contact info off a flier and decided that it would be "fun" to mess around. People do the same thing with other missing pets and even children. It's disgusting.

I put the information out there on social media, and the internet, and all the mail boxes in the area for that matter.

Anyone seeing this will have enough information to mess with me if they choose to.

Mark I've been think of you and Maggie, said some prayers and sniffled more than a few times. That wound up, haunting empty feeling of a lost pet is absolutely horrible but do take care of yourself.
You likely already know this but I had two suggestions. First go with your intuition if you feel like you should look somewhere. I found a missing bird after five days because I looked where I felt like I should instead of where my head told me. It was a spot there was no way she would be but yet she was.
Second someone suggested a drone. If you can find some techie folks it is a great idea. Having watched both domestic and wild birds usually they either flee or chase, either way they move and are visible. You also get an above the tree line view. I know my brother in law jumps at any chance to fly for someone. I wish we were closer!
I hope you have good news soon. Try not let the ups and downs of hope burn you out...steady on.

I've done everything possible. Keep lookiing, but mainly now we wait for that call.

You've got enough on your plate.

Right now, it's probably going to be less about looking, and more about waiting for someone to call saying she's showed up in their yard.

Who knows if we are even looking in the right place anymore. I was out there all day yesterday, and most of the evening on Monday, and came up empty.

Stephen and I are going out looking again tonight after work. But frankly, I'm reaching the point where exhaustion is starting to take it's toll. I've walked somewhere around 8-10 miles per day since Saturday looking for her... and at this point I'm sleep deprived, a bit dehydrated, and well, basically just to the point where I'm fried... But I'm going back out after work tonight. And I continue to hope.

However, she could be anywhere, and that approach is kind of needle in the haystack. The point of putting out all the flyers, and talking to people, and doing social media, and doing all those pet finder calls is to get other sets of eyes alerted to the fact that she's out there.

She's too big to miss. When someone sees her, I want them to know to call me, and not just blow it off.

My best chance for success will be getting that call, I think.

Problem is my phone stopped ringing.
