Introducing myself

Hi, my name is Barbara and I have an adorable 6-month-old opaline, black-capped conure. Her name is Bella; she and I are both on the wonderful adventure of discovering each other and our common path.

I'm a retired social worker who enjoys making things with beads and natural stone. I have been researching the makings of a play gym for Bella and even posted on the heating PVC thread yesterday.

I have never participated in a forum before and feel stumped about how to navigate around, using tags, smiles, thanks, etc. I probably need an On-Line Forum for Dummies book to help me navigate. Any hints, suggestions or advice will be appreciated.

I'm excited and I have a lot to learn.
