Introducing The New Adventures Of Princess Peach!! 💝

Do you still have Val? I haven't seen you mention Val for a while.
Sadly we lost our little Val last June, I can't bring myself to edit him out of my profile though ...

Lovejoy misses his little bestie, and I will always miss him too 💔

🎼All we are saying,
Is give peas (and corn) a chance!!🎶

She's chuckin' quite a few of them on the floor, but at least it's cheaper than when she does it with blueberries!!!
Love joy is enjoying some fresh food too ❤️❤️

Don’t you just become sad when you see perfectly good fruits & veggies being tossed on the floor? I get the leftover fruits and veggies that are a few days old that my parrots will no longer eat ☹️

Flowing out of you and me,
Flowing out into the desert, (but mostly on the floor),
Setting all the peas and corn free!!
"Someone call the po-eas I can't find my beak!"

I *had* been serving corn on the cob, which is MUCH harder to just chuck onto the floor. I asked hubby to get some frozen peas from the supermarket yesterday, and he went for the sort with the corn mixed with it, you know, for a bit of variety. And THIS is the result!! Still cheaper than chucking blueberries on the floor though ...

I've tried lecturing my budgies about wasting food and all the starving birds in India but they don't seem to care. Mine love corn on the cob but cutting up a cob is dangerous!
To feel better about all the wasted bird food and floor vegetables, I sweep it up and toss it outside for the outdoor birds. I empty my vacuum canister outside too for the wild ones and maybe they can feather their nests with budgie feathers.

Apologies for the picture quality, the light's not the best cos we have grey wintry conditions here today. Plenty hot between Peachie and Lovejoy out in the bird room, though, she sure is warm for that little red-headed rooster's form!!! ❤️‍🔥 😍 And quite frankly who can blame her??

Mmmmmmm hhhhmmmmmmm, “sweet” certainly is ONE word for it!!

It's a birdy Rave! A complete party, with food and water and hot Hens! (Hides the scene from her rooster Who would LOVE to join in!)

I am so jealous that your different species of parrots get along. How cute!
It's not all "happy families" down here you know. The 'tiels like each other, Lovejoy and Peachie L❤️‍🔥VE each other, but other than that the two tribes generally don't like each other all that much. Seems you can't have everything!

Oh Peachie's got it, bayyyyyyyybeeeeeee, and here's her theme tune!!! ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

You're lucky they're different species because her body posture is asking for it! And he looks like he'd be happy to comply. It's actually great- they can "enjoy each other" without becoming parents!

Don't bet on it!! My beloved (and now sadly retired 😭) bird vet said he once had someone bring in chicks from the wholly unintentional pairing of a scaly breasted lorikeet and a superb parrot, only a step removed from my two. Mine have not actually "done the deed" yet, not that I know of anyway, and I'll try to prevent it, but it would break both their little hearts if I was to keep them separated and I could never do that, so that's a bridge I'll have to cross if/when we come to it. And I REALLY hope I don't have to!! 🤞🤞🤞

Don't separate them! Just sub dummy eggs if it happens and don't give them a box.
Are they closely related enough for it to be a possibility? You have to wonder what their chicks would look like. Would they eat nectar or regular parrot food?
