She just a baby learning how everything works. It was cute she didn’t know what to do when I first put the foraging plates down but started catching on.

They loved it. Ona stole food right out of Yuri’s beak! Meanie butt.

I predict that it won't be long before both your Little Miss Sassafrasses are trying to out-sass each other on a daily basis!!

Rewarding them for gentle touches. Yuri still a little unsure but I can see her starting to thaw. Ona fed Yuri a piece of fruit from her beak when she asked for it I told her that was very sweet.

They both need to learn to read other bird’s body language. They’re slowly getting it.

They’re both so cute. I love the little attempt at preening the baby.

Yessss they both seem much more relaxed around each other today! They are getting closer, not as interested in constantly having to feel each other out. And improvement from both on respecting boundaries.

Look how sweet they are today!! This was on my shoulder too. Aww. I really think they are becoming friends and I’m so excited!

Little Yuri went in for an X-ray to see if the particle is still in her tummy. I have to wait to hear from the vet, but it sounds likes it’s still there.

On the way home she went in a coffee shop and a pizza shop with us. Everyone was so excited to see her. They gave her almonds at the coffee shop.

You know you've had parrots for a while when you text your spouse about the size of their poop. And that's a whopper alright!!

I know people who would love to lose 5% of their body weight after their morning session! Do the weight comparison on a 150lb human!
The cloaca in a female bird can hold an egg so it's not surprising Yuri can store up such a big potty overnight. When my tiny budgie Joey was brooding her 4 (dummy) eggs she would hold her poops for hours and only went when she came out of her cage for about 30 seconds and she would dump a giant sized on right on ME and go right back to her eggs. It was so big I could hear it squirt out! I left her cage door open so she would be able to come out whenever she needed to.
