Is cedar oil toxic to Amazons?

I've been wanting to try cedar oil as a remedy for bad flea and skin problems for one of my dogs, but I've noticed a few sources that warn against using cedar oil around parrots.

Is this true? Would it be okay to use if I keep the dog out of the harp room where the bird is??

I use doTERRA essential oils, have 2 cats and a parrot. I personally don't use arborvitae oil, or cedar oils anywhere in my house and I keep the tee tree oil away from them as well. The rest I use all the time. doTERRA has an oil specially formulated for bugs and pets and humans that is safe around parrots, dogs, cats, and horses.
