Please don't respond by just saying paper is best, I'm well aware of the prevailing opinion.
I'm looking for something to use as a cage liner that is washable and reusable. I picked up some slate tile at the local hardware store the other day that was both cheap, and looks good in my baby's cage. I haven't actually put in yet though because this is my first bird (green cheek conure) and they seem to have so many sensitivities I just wanted to make sure it's safe. I like the idea of using tile because I can just remove a single tile and wash it when needed.
Thanks.
