Jenday conure with a weird lil thingy on his back

Hello everyone this is my jenday conure, he is almost 1 years of age, he lets me touch it everywhere to give scratches because obviously he likes em. Its been a week or so since I notice this pin like feather on his back and I thought its just another pin feather as he is molting these days. Today I notice that is not a pin feather and Is something different maybe this is normal im just checking if anyone has any idea of what this actually is

Welcome. Most but not all parrot species have this. Amazons for example, as a genus do not. Good idea to check it once in a while to see if it is inflamed or impacted.
