just wondering

You can never leave the two birds out at the same time by themselves. If they're cages are close to each other you need to be standing right there with them. My guys tolerate each other pretty well but this morning Daisy was sitting on the platform right outside her cage and Sidney really went after her cuz he wanted to get in her cage to eat her seeds. If I hadn't been brushing my hair right there who know what might have happened! I was able to holler to distract them then put SIdney in time out with his pellets :)

I agree. Even my two tiels who are housed together get into small little feuds if they perch to close to each other.

Yeppers, Mac and Hamlet will 'spat' if they are out and one is is the mood to cuddle and the other one isn't ... it's really funny too ... they will start to fight and just recently we are starting to hear mac yell, "Step-Up" as like a command to Hamlet to go somewhere else ... it's SOOOOO Funny!

Well, the budgie called Gilligan has been ordered, and Debbie has been informed, so now I am just preparing for his arrival.
Skippah is so very laid back it is going to be interesting to see how he reacts to this baby budgie stealing his lime light. I am hoping all will go well. The size difference is a mild worry to me, but Im hoping that will foster some paternal feelings towards the little fella.
Is it a vain hope that Skippah will think it is a mini him, and take him under his wing, so to speak?
One never knows, maybe Skippah will learn something.
