Looking to Donate

I want to donate some money to worthy parrot rescues in the US. I'm sure money is a huge issue with rescues and some are better funded than others and want to put the money where it's needed the most.

Does anyone have any ideas for me?

Maybe your local avian vet would have some suggestions of rescues that they trust?

I also want to look nationally. Here in Maine our best rescue closed a few months ago due to lack of funding in addition to other factors. Parrots are not popular pets here. I know other areas of the country have a lot more homeless parrots and need support. If anyone has good rescues in their area that need support I'll look into donating.

"Meika's was established back in 2011. I can vouch for Meika's personally. I am friends with the owners, Janine and Ian, and they are amazing people. During the Fort McMurray fires back in 2016, they took in every bird that was brought to them. They kept these birds as long as the owners needed them to and there was no charge at all.
