I had a surgery today (septoplasty) I’m fine. I can’t bend over due to bleeding issues in my face so I can’t clean bird cages for 2 weeks. My husband had to clean Blue. Blue is in his cage bending cage bars, and chewing on his cage bars. He doesn’t do this to me. I’m his primary caretaker. I don’t know what to do. He isn’t accepting of others. Does any know what to do in this situation?

Can you take Blue to another room while hubby cleans?

Yes I will try that tomorrow. Thank you! Hopefully that helps. I just bought him a new cage as he destroyed his last one. I’m hoping this one doesn’t end up the same.

As above, you and Blue go to a different room. Then you can distract him while cage is being cleaned. Blue may even sense that you're not feeling well. His negative actions may be his response to this. Give him extra verbal praise to ease his concerns. You'll both feel better.

I don’t know what’s gotten into him. I was sleeping, and I have him next to me on his stand. He jumped down, ran across me in bed to attack my husband on the other side.
