Mad pineapple!

My conure is 8 years old and for the past 7.5 yrs I’ve taken her to get her nails trimmed every 3 months. It’s been 3 weeks since her last trim and she won’t have anything to do with me!! Ignores me and won’t come to me at all. It was a very gentle trim without any drama. Anyone have one stay mad at them this long?

I have not had any of mine be upset for more than a day after their nail trims. Sounds like there might be something else going on?

She has been going through a molt! I got in my feelings and didn’t think about that!!

If she's molting and she let's you can you spray her a give her a shower.? That may help with the molt at the same time help her forget the nail trim.

Welcome to the forums! Seems unusual for just a nail trim. Agree with others there may be something else here. Any routine change? And - you might think this is silly, but I’m completely serious - have you tried apologizing? I swear, my Ona does hold a grudge UNLESS you genuinely tell her you are sorry. She knows.

I forgot about apologizing. I have to apologize to Nameliss. After vet nail trims, I have to mock scold the techs. She'll cuddle me and growl at them. Also if I accidentally do something that upsets her. She'll hold a brief grudge otherwise.
