I brought Mango out today in his aviator harness down by the port. We walked around and he did great. I got lectured how it was ashame how he was ripped from his home in the rain forest and that I'm contributing to the demise of the African parrot. I snapped back and told the guy to get his facts straight.

Anyway Mango seems to love being outside and was acting like a clown.

And here we thought Mango was an Amazon!!! I guess he's got a bit of an identity crisis if he hails all the way from Africa!!!! ;) For a wild bird, he sure is handling captivity rather well! :D LOL

At least he enjoys the outting! :) But where are the pics? :P

Here is my endangered wild African Parrot.

I don't know why is beak comes or dark in the pictures. Its horn colored with a grey wash to it, apparently juvenile yellow shoulders have some grey in their beaks sometimes when they are young.

Looking cute

Last picture was taken in the African Congo right before I stole him from the rainforest.

That guy sure told you! Hahaha

Mango looks like he's having a great time! Apart from being freshly ripped out of africa and forced to wear a cute little harness lol!

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH @ Monica and Billy!

Thanks for sharing the pictures! It definitely looks like Mango enjoyed his time outside! :D

I like sharing pictures of him, I guess I'm very proud of this little guy.

He turned out to be everything I wanted in a parrot. He is only in his cage when I'm not home otherwise he is pretty much out. I think the amount of time I spend with him is paying off.

Yep- same here! I only put Chili in his cage at night, and then if we're not home.

Just keep up the good work with socializing him!! :)

How does he like the harness? We just got one for Bacci, but have not tried to put it on him yet. Awesome photos. He looks so happy!

Hardest part is getting it over his head, after that everything is fine and he across like its not even on. I feel it has brought a whole new level in our relationship.

Great looking African Wild breed there!
