Meet Fiji!

Hi All! my new baby GCC, Fiji, is finally home! He made the 3 hour drive from the breeders with no problem, riding on the top of the passenger seat. I had a travel carrier, but he seemed calm enough to come out, and really enjoyed looking out the window

He has been hanging out with us all day, sitting on shoulders and playing. He even had his first bath today! So far, he has just been the BEST BIRD EVER! No nipping, just lots of cuddling! His first night alone in his cage was last night, and he did great. Here is the first of MANY pics!

I fell in love with the turquoise GCC many months ago. Simple and beautiful.

Thank you all for your kind words! Fiji had his "well baby checkup" this morning, and he did just fine. He had his nails trimmed and his poop checked for bacteria. The vet LOVED him, he was so calm and friendly with her.

Here is a pic of Fiji eating dinner with us. I lay a towel over his side of the table, and put out different things he might want to eat..of COURSE he loves whats on OUR plates more! Dont' worry, we dont let him have anything bad
