So I picked up some melons today, we haven't had them in forever around here... I think becuase I am the only one that eats them.

Do you think they would make a good frozen treat for the parrots? I was thinking of cubing some, stringing it, and hanging on a chunk or two in the cages to help keep them busy when I am not home.

If the seeds are ingested it is no problem. My birds love melons, especially the really ripe ones. They have good vitamin conent as well as water. Freezing them is too messy for me to deal with. Once I put melon and berries together in blender and made a much, boy was it messy.
