Ryu is 3 now and I remember reading advice from someone that at sometimes younger birds don't like to cuddle or be touched a whole lot. So I've given him the space and not pushed too much but it seems lately that Ry just does not want to be touched at all. I have observed new pin feathers around the head as of last week, so maybe that is it?

I think I am partially feeling rejected because my parrots past were all extremely bonded to me, always wanted to be where I was and held/touched. Are there specific activities I should be doing with him that I am not? Is it possible that I give the bird too much freedom (he's out of the cage most of his awake hours) so that he does not see me as "fun" ???
