No it doesn't upset me. Humans put meaning as to how they were raised. I was raised Native American. I put nature first. I try to see from nature's view point. Dogs being domestic don't want to leave their human. Even in mourning there is a bond. Chickens, duck and the like are domestic but there's no bond. There are exceptions with both. Parrots and companion birds aren't truly domestic. Again exceptions with breeding exist. They feel the wild. Even hand fed. The wild is there. In the wild flocks and others are present. Ways for comfort exist. In captivity we can only try. Different cultures we see the same but different conclusions.
