New Member and Owner of YNA!

Hey guys!

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Liz and I've just rescued a Yellow Naped Amazon almost two weeks ago. His name is Chuffles and he is 10 years old. He is my first "large" parrot and so far no regrets! He's becoming more and more relaxed each day - as well as more vocal!

Still can't get him to step up but that's ok for now. He wants to attack my hand every now and then - but then want a scratch. Talk about an emotional roller coaster!

Any tips or advice on training, owning, loving - whatever - is much appreciated! Especially from fellow Amazon parents!

Welcome Liz and Chuffles. Great to have you aboard. Chuffles sure is a very pretty boy.

We have a resident Amazon expert here by the name of "henpecked". I think he truly is THE person to ask for all Amazon trouble. He's been around them his entire life.
