Hello! I am trying to find a good and cheap brand of pans and pots to replace the non stick Teflon pans I already have. Any one in the UK got a link to non toxic pans please? I saw a company called 'green pans' that do non stick pans but its supposedly non toxic? Thoughts? Any help would be great, thanks!

Ooooooh, I'm not much hep with link help for UK, but...

I did a bit of Googling on the "Green" line, and there seem to be concerns that the finish makes use of nanotechnology and silicone, both of which could pose safety and health risks.

So I guess I'd stay away.

Let's see what members recommend, as I am a stranger to the kitchen, other than midnight refrigerator raids. :)

The safest way to go are stainless steel pans probably, as I’m pretty sure most, if not all of them, contain no harmful toxins. Don’t know if this will help but here’s a link for 9 cookware brands which supposedly are non-toxic (it includes the brand GreenPan so I’m not sure): 9 Non-Toxic Cookware Brands to Keep Chemicals Out of Your Food

Not got a link BUT I found Robert Dyas do some decently priced non-stick ceramic pots and pans that are free of all the nasty stuff (can't remember the brand name of them) but they said PTFE/PFOA free on the packaging. Since I've also seen Debenhams do a PTFE/PFOA free range (though a bit pricey) and TK Maxx do have them as well though harder to find a complete set there
