One thing I did not ask but should have.

I DO NOT burn candles but do have a wax warmer. Can I use that with Oliver in the house now or is it not suggested?

I wouldn't.....I have em in the bathrooms, but sissy doesn't breathe in there...I always worry she'll fly into the wax...have you ever tried to get wax out of feathers? I haven't but I'm guessing it's almost impossible.

If scented, assume not safe! FYI, no glade plugins of any kind! At our vet's a few years ago, during my daughter's shift, a woman killed her entire household of fids! Added a new baby and plugged in a Glade!

And people always ask why I get up early ,super early. It's becuz I clean my house....naturally. Owning sugar gliders and hedgehog...nothing chemical or scented allowed in my home...and I'm proud to say...it doesn't smell funky lol.

Hat off to you, Mariar! I at one time also had sugar gliders, and to be able to clean naturally and not stink with sugar gliders in an accomplishment. Lol!!! Thank you everyone. I would assume natural organic oils in a diffuser the same law. My sister in law has that got my in " downstairs" so I will be aware.

At times it's tough..you want to be able to make your home smell like cookies or a meadow. but I have fresh flowers..safe flowers and I bake all the time.safe and chemical free is my motto!.animal cruelty free!!!people say I'm a hippie becuz I toured with the dead but I just tell them that I love my animals as if they were human children..and I like to keep all safe.

Something to add, this surprises many folks. No avocado of any form! No wiggle room here! Not even a taste!

Ahhhhh yes!!! That I do know!!!! Thank you

What about essential oils? If they are really oils not the cheap fake stuff?

Personally, we have had fantastic luck with the charcoal air filters, cut way down on the animal smells. They actually impressed me more than I thought they would, we have a pretty decent number of animals, and not a huge house, so we have to be extra diligent or things turn quickly, and it's easy for animal smells to start getting overly strong.

Only downside with the charcoal filters is that if you have a lot of bird dust, they clog *so quickly* My three month filters last about 2 weeks before I have to vacuum them out.

We also use baking soda pods hidden around the house which we replace monthly to help absorb odors, and get fresh lavender from our neighbor when she harvests it which is also a natural deodorizer. Less about adding good smells, so much as just preventing bad smells from ever building up. I doubt anyone ever walks in and thinks "man, this house smells so good", but, they don't think it stinks either. It just smells, normal.
