Just thought I'd get this posted so that Christy can see that she is not alone with the mistakes (I'm still making them :D) Today I'm getting my paperwork done (over a months worth ) when "Kito" lands on my shoulder, Oh boy hes lost weight and a lot of it, so take him over to the scales plonk him down  far to much weight loss, now heading over for the phone to call vet frantically, when I notice all the red on his chest, OMG Bucc and Kito have been fighting and there's a real problem, finally take a good look at "Kito", who then turns out to be "Errol" Bucc and Kito are in fact on the door ready for me to move away and pounce, so quickly grab Errol and shove him in the cage very uncerimoniously, and look over cage, yep food door wide open, he has been quiet for a while now, but I'd put that down to everything that has been happening over the last few days, but no its because the little so and so has been working the nuts and bolts (he must have been at it for quite a while) A quick check of cage and everyone is present and accounted for.

Now I know what Errol is like, but I have to confess that I haven't checked the bolts in a while, yes theres been a lot going on but that doesn't excuse what I didn't do. Luckily no damage is done (apart from a few extra grey hairs - mine) but yep I still feel guilty and all the other emotions and I will everytime I slip up with my fids.

I posted this just to show Christy that she really isn't alone in making mistakes, it really does happen to us all and will continue to happen until we can figure out a way to become smarter than our fids. I really can't see that happening for a while. :D Anyway hope this helped as you can see I made a load of mistakes just in the few mins that this all took place (it seemed like hours at the time.)

Oh Peta there is really a lot of fun in your house! :D

I can't imagine you picking up the wrong bird still thinking it's Kito!

But it's not your falt! It's just that this litlle devil(Kito) has made you be certain it's always him behind everything not going the straight way so you never get him out of your mind!:D:D:D

He's done a good job hasn't he? :18:

Thinking back now it really is so funny, I was convinced it was kito,

Oh yeah, theres never a dull moment in this mad house. :D

You can certainly say that again.

In fact he's being really good and quiet and loveable  I'm going crazy, I'm sure he's up to something but everytime I look at him he's sitting there so good. Watch this space. :D

I'm sorry I couldn't help giggling.

I love all your stories Peta. They help a lot, knowing that I am not a horrible human being, just simply a human and therefore make mistakes. They also usually have me nodding and mumbling "Yes, just one bird, one very small bird! Do not want a Bucc and Kito on my hands" :D

You know Peta, you keep posting all these "OH NO" stories, maybe you should post some great stories about how wonderful it is to have two birdies ... double the birdie kisses, double the eyelash preens ... you know, all the good stuff!

Oh wish one to post. There are so many. Yep its so easy to post the "OH NO" ones, (and this one was really just to let Christy know that she really isn't alone,) I've had birds for more years than I can remember, and I'm STILL making mistakes with them. :D

I do have a wonderful one, and it involves Bucc and KITO  (yep my horror really can have his good days) I'll get that posted in the morning, its starting to get late here now and I really haven't got the brain power tonight. First thing in the morning I promise. :D

Thanks Peta :) Why in the world wouldn't you think it was Kito? All the other birds were supposed to be in cages. I bet Kito told Errol to do it so he could get a good laugh. I'm sure we will have a lot more stories as time goes on, hopefully mostly good ones. Thanks for making me feel a little better :)

Ya know what, most of them are good ones, but its the ones where we humans make mistakes that always seem to stick in our minds.
