Just thought I'd get this posted so that Christy can see that she is not alone with the mistakes (I'm still making them
) Today I'm getting my paperwork done (over a months worth
) when "Kito" lands on my shoulder, Oh boy hes lost weight and a lot of it, so take him over to the scales plonk him down
far to much weight loss, now heading over for the phone to call vet frantically, when I notice all the red on his chest, OMG Bucc and Kito have been fighting and there's a real problem, finally take a good look at "Kito", who then turns out to be "Errol"
Bucc and Kito are in fact on the door ready for me to move away and pounce, so quickly grab Errol and shove him in the cage very uncerimoniously, and look over cage, yep food door wide open, he has been quiet for a while now, but I'd put that down to everything that has been happening over the last few days, but no its because the little so and so has been working the nuts and bolts (he must have been at it for quite a while) A quick check of cage and everyone is present and accounted for.
Now I know what Errol is like, but I have to confess that I haven't checked the bolts in a while, yes theres been a lot going on but that doesn't excuse what I didn't do. Luckily no damage is done (apart from a few extra grey hairs - mine) but yep I still feel guilty and all the other emotions and I will everytime I slip up with my fids.
I posted this just to show Christy that she really isn't alone in making mistakes, it really does happen to us all and will continue to happen until we can figure out a way to become smarter than our fids. I really can't see that happening for a while.
Anyway hope this helped as you can see I made a load of mistakes just in the few mins that this all took place (it seemed like hours at the time.)
