Otto's getting a Pedi today

He got grumpy as soon as we arrived at the vet. Anyone else get nervous about taking their bird to vet even just for a nail trim? I do because they take him back by himself. I worry about him.

Sometimes it is hard to determine if they understand what they are saying. Too many times it's uncannily appropriate!

Fancy toes!

Looking at his domain?

My bird HATES having his nails dremeled by the vet!!! She bundles him up in a birdie burrito and fights with all her might to get the job done. Normally, my bird is silent, but the minute he sees the vet the honking begins! I sit in the room while it is being done and it stresses me out. I wish I never had to have it done, but I have tried to do it myself and it just doesn’t work.

Aww poor baby! Luckily they can use regular nail clippers with Otto. He'd definitely freak out with the Dremel. They allow me in the room if he has a check up with the vet along with the trim. if it's just a nail trim, they come and get him from me in the waiting room. He tells them he loves them shortly after they're finished. lol

Congratulations on your POTM! What a great picture!!

What a cute little peep! And very pretty toes!

Nameliss will growl and grumble when her nails are dremeled. Occasionally she'll call for help, dogs, etc. She tolerates it very well. Beforehand can be a trial. She tries to climb in and up my sleeves; get into a pocket; the worst is getting between my shoulder blades. This happens less as we've learned her tricks.
