15 year-old Sun Conure: Hamlet &
14 year-old Green-Cheeked Conure: Mac
Christy and I are very pleased to announce the impending arrival of the newest member of our flock ... please meet ... well, we dont' have a name for him/her yet ... and, as you can all tell, he's a green-cheek conure.

mac1.jpg

"Hello Parrotforums, I am too cute for my own good"

mac2.jpg

"See all of my pretty colors, look at my pretty maroon tail feathers."

mac3.jpg

"I am almost completely weaned and should be ready to come home soon."

So, here is what we are going to ask you guys to help us with ... we have a list of names and we want to see what the general consensus is: The list is as follows - Antonio (toni for short), Leonardo (Leo for short), Bianca, Mac (as in MacBeth), and Sebastian ... we have a Shakespeare theme going on with our naming ... so it has to be one of those five ... we would love any input that you want to give us.

Thanks:

:50:, Christy, Hamlet and TBD

CONGRATS YOU TWO!!!

:jumping40

That's so much fun! I hope that Hamlet loves his new little friend, I'm sure he will!

My vote is for Sebastian...second choice MacBeth.

Well are you certian its a male? hmmm i like... gee i dunno im not much of a shakespear person.. I like Mac.. sorta.. hey or you could name it Benny as in Benvolio from uhhh Romeo and Juliet...

I like Leo and Mac... if its a male that is...

Oh and congratz on your GCC!!!! I almost got one a few .. well month now.. ago athen i almost got a black capped conure which are very similiar to GCCs but ya i decided to stick with my dream BCC AND SENNIE.

Let us know what you end up naiming him!

Congrats!!! I just had to try to memorize macbeth so he's not on my good side at the moment LOL I'm not a shakesphere person at all but maybe Duncan would be pick :)

AWW!!! I want one... sooo cute, look at his little face :p

what about
ooo I like Horatio, Hamlets friend in the play!! trying to stick to the play ;)

I know, wasnt on the list, Im always the odd ball :57:

I've given my names in the other thread and the reasons I picked them.

S/he is a real beauty.

CONGRATS TO YOU ALL.

Personally I like Sebastian, but I have a feeling that you prefer Mac.

Besides, I guess Mac would make more sense...stick with title characters...

man... I can only vote for one? lol, but I like more than one and what about Cricket? She doesnt get to vote... she is going to have words with you!!

:D

Yep think all our fids should be able to vote, I've asked Bucc and all he said was "yum yum"

Don't worry I moved him pretty quick. :D He's now in and having his veggies so maybe I'll ask him AFTER he has eaten.

Yippee, another Green Cheek!!!:D They are so the most cutest, littlest birdies with HUGE personalities! Im sure you are going to enjoy him/her, they are really very entertaining! Congratulations!!!:)

Yep think all our fids should be able to vote ....

OK, well, I think that you all need to discuss as individual households and some up with one vote per household ... so you can all fight it out amongst yourselves for that all important ONE VOTE!

may i ask how much you guys payed for him up there?
we have paid $299 for him ... it's not too bad, and about 1/2 the cost of Hamlet ... we got a pretty good deal because the people we got him/her from (www.parrot-safari.net) gave us a deal.

Hahahaha, I was just showing Chase the pictures of your new birdie, and apparently I didn't explain it well...he asked if that's what Hamlet looked like when he was a pup :18:

That's funny AND it's also a very colorful moult, if that were the case! But, their facial expressions do look very similar don't they ... it's kinda freaky.

Wow, looking at your pics compared to mine, your gc colours are much more vibrant than mines. Is it a specific food, or because mine is petshop and yours came from a breeder? I wonder....

OR ... it could be in the post-production of the image ... ;) ... actually, there really wasn't anything done to this picture ... if I had to guess, I would guess that it is the food that has been fed to our little guy. He was weaned to an all-natural seed/pellet mixture along with a bean and rice mixture AND veggies (it's really going to be a pain in the butt to keep up with when he comes home). I bet that has a lot to do with it ... that and some good photoshop knowledge ... J/K :D

~ :50:

Congrats to Tex and Christy!!! Looks like there will be double trouble in the house now!!! But he is quite the little cutie.

Yeah, could be... Or just my terrible finger photoshots! Anyway, i figured he maybe also going through a moult stage, his head feathers just molted the other day, so could be his getting ugly to make place for his pretty feathers. Whatever it is, i love him like he is.

Oh, one more thing. He was weaned unto pellets when he came to live with me, still have a bit of trouble with him though, eating it. And he doesnt eat veggies, he never has before i got him, so never wanted any.
