Hi all,

I am currently looking to replace a toaster. I find it abysmal that it is so difficult to find a safe toaster.

I found this particular brand which states in the technical specifications of the user manual "The product and all its parts are Teflon/PTFE, BPA, and PFOA free."

This is comforting, however, I have read that I must also ensure that it's PFCs and PFAS free as well. Here's the link to the toaster: https://muellerhome.us/products/stainless-steel-toaster

Does anyone have a safe toaster used in a home with their parrot?

Thank you, as always, parrot friends!

I just bought a new toaster oven/ air fryer a few months ago made by Hamilton Beach. I've been using it a few times a week with no problems.
My birds (19 budgies) are on the other side of the very large all purpose living room/kitchenette. The room is about 25x25 with 12 foot valuteed ceilings. My stove vents directly outside. There is no other room in my small house to keep my birds. They fly free around the room from 8am to 8pm but mostly keep to the area where their cages are and don't get into trouble.
I admit that I did not research the coatings used in my new toaster oven. I never cook without strictly supervising my cooking and keeping an eye on the budgies. I suppose I've taken chances but I have had no problems in the 10 years that I've kept budgies in this set up.
I dont use nonstick cookware except for my egg pan which is ceramic coated. I don't use any air fresheners or strong cleaning solutions. Plain warm water cleans most dirt and budgie poop and Dawn takes care of greasy dishes.

It sounds like you have a great setup for your babies! I appreciate the thorough breakdown! It's difficult deciding if something is truly safe for our beloveds, so I appreciate the information!! Thank you!
