Please send healing vibes to my new addition. Little Baby Pipsqueak.

Every good day is another brick in the wall and another step on the road to recovery. And oh yes Hannah, he IS totally adorable ❤️

PS Love the book he's reading btw, "We are idiots now, we have been idiots in the past, and we will be idiots again in the future, and that's OK. There aren't any other available options for human beings."

Never a truer word spoken!

Haha yes it’s quite some book he’s reading! :p

Pip has just had his first dose of the anti-seizure meds. Phenobarbitone. It’s tutti-Frutti flavour!

YES! Love this update. So happy he seems to be doing well. He really is a fighter, and absolutely Hannah, completely adorable :)

I am SO glad to hear Pip is doing much better! I have created a picture folder entitled "Special Tiels" The only two that I have pictures for are Pip and another tiel that turned 30 years old last week! Pip reminds me of my favorite little guy Buzz!

So happy to see Pip looking brighter and more stable. Hope the phenobarb wards off future seizures. Will be interesting to see if he becomes more steady over time.

I've been following your thread Hannah and wow you are doing amazing!! I can't wait to hear updates on Pip's progress. Sending continued healing and positive thoughts your way!! :)

Two weeks ago he could barely stand and there was hardly a chance he would make it through the night, and today he’s flying to you. It’s a miracle. You are some sort of bird angel.

Fast learner! When you sped up the video at first, I thought he already knew "come pipsqueak" and I was like WOAH....lol

I am SO proud of little Pip. It’s unbelievable isn’t it?! This time 2 weeks ago none of us thought he was going to make it. Vets prognosis wasn’t great and Pip looked and felt awful. I knew he was going to die when he started having seizures.

And yet, like you say. 2 weeks later and he is flying into my hand!! It’s incredible, the strength and will of this little bird!
He got over tired last night before his bed time (6pm). It was about 5.45 and I went to give him his meds before he went off to bed. I got him out his cage and popped him on the chair and he could hardly stand, he was so exhausted he fell forward and did a rollypolly! (Front flip). Now if that happened a week ago I would have started to worry that he was going to die. But now I know that by that time of night he can’t function and just simply has to go to bed. And then 8am he is pacing around his cage begging to be let out!

The vet did say these new drugs may make him sleepy, and if they do we will down the dosage. I’m going to see how he goes over the weekend, so far so good. He’s sleeping on me now but was wide awake a couple of hours ago.

Oh he's so cute, working out what those wings are actually for!

Just growing up and growing all those feathers takes a lot of energy so I'm not surprised he's tuckered out by the end of the day, along with the effects of his meds. He's learning all these fine motor skills and making all those new connections in his brain like the little champion he is! I'm still grinning like an idiot - well done Pipsqueak!

You never cease to amaze, Hannah! You are a literal miracle worker for birds. Pip has come so far in an amazingly short period.

Pip says thanks everyone!

And here he is looking super chuffed about his weight gain today!

Oooh and he doesn’t half look chuffed with himself! So much character radiating out of that little face, God love him ❤️

He's flying!!! That's incredible Hannah! You deserve angel wings yourself! Pip is an awesome little guy, and just doesn't give up. Makes my heart sing :)

Is it just me, or does his little face look happier every day? He's like pure joy with feathers!

I'm sure you have gotten this before, but as good as you are with birds, It would almost be a crime not to ask this. Have you ever given thought to becoming an avian vet?? I am SO glad to hear Pip is doing much better and always enjoy the photos!!

Wow! What a difference a couple of weeks and a lot of love makes! I loved the video, watching Pip prance across the couch then fly to you was amazing, he looks so strong!
Hannah, you are truly incredible.

Pip is positively glowing perched on that scale! Both of you take a bow for continued achievement!!

I’m not smart enough and I’d be a nervous wreck being a vet! :p
But thank you, your so kind!
