Please send healing vibes to my new addition. Little Baby Pipsqueak.

I've cranked up my Good Vibes to overdrive for Pip!

Hope the vet visit goes well, perhaps more answers!

Oh, I so hope his vet visit goes well!

Keep fighting Pip, you can do this!
Hannah, sending massive hugs to you.

Another long night that was.
Pip had a seizure again at 7.30. Then he stayed postictal (flat and floppy) all night apart from every now and then he’d wake up and have a small fit before going postictal again. I’m exhausted. And so must he. It’s 7.30 am now and he’s pretty much only just got up on his own two feet. He’s had a munch on seed and a much need drink. But he is really struggling with his balance.
I fear our vet visit this morning will be saying goodbye to him.

That poor little mite, my heart is breaking! I have every finger, toe and eye crossed hoping he can make it!

:( ugh.................you are giving him love and he never had that...

I'm so glad to hear Hannah that you have taken in a little one in need, otherwise the poor little tacker would have passed away in that hell-hole that he was in to start with
Best wishes on Pip making a full recovery

(By the way, which Vet practitioner did you take her to?)

Cheers

Thank you everyone! Well we are BOTH home, yay.
Vet was suprised the little mite was still going especially after all his seizures. He’s given him a calcium Gluconate Injection and we will also be starting him on anti-seizure meds but they don’t have them available so have to wait a couple of days for them to be made/arrive to the clinic. I checked with the vet that it was okay to keep trying a little longer or would it be kinder to put him down. He agreed that Pip has a lot of fight in him and for him to get this far it’s definitely the right thing to do to trial out these meds. And definitely before we go down blood test route as that will be more expensive and pip may not be strong enough for that yet.
He’s a lovely vet, He said if only I could go back to that ‘breeder’ and rescue all his birds.

I’ve just purchased Pip a new hospital cage, a slightly bigger upgrade from the one I was borrowing from a friend.

Pip is quite wobbly since we’ve got home, but I’m not suprised. He was practically in a dead state all night, and he’s just been on a 2hr car journey and been jabbed by a vet! He’s now fast asleep in my hand.

Thanks Noah! Wouldn’t it have just been so awful for him to have died cold and alone in his own feaces :(

I go to Ballarat Veterinary Practice and see Dr Aaron Lutrell.

Whew - been watching for updates and am glad to hear that there is hope. I am SO GLAD that he is with you. Know that we are all pulling for him and sending positive thoughts :).

Thanks Noah! Wouldn’t it have just been so awful for him to have died cold and alone in his own feaces :(

And this is EXACTLY why Pip simply MUST pull through! The very idea of that sweet baby being so neglected and miserably treated and ending his short life in such a horrible situation is too much to bear. Please stay strong and stay among us little Pip, you have so much more to live for now!

Pip must survive for many reasons, not the least is thumbing his nose at that monstrous breeder. Hope you both rest better tonight and receive the meds soon!

Oh he looks awesome, except for the getting wobbly on Monday night bit. Looking much perkier and happy in his surroundings. His Uncle Fang is sitting with me and sends an encouraging squawk!

Yay Pip! You got this, little guy! Hannah, just keep doing what you're doing. He looks great, all things considered. I'm curious to see if the seizure meds help when they arrive. He's made so much progress with you. More healing vibes coming your way in hopes that little Pipsqueak continues to improve.

If it's just a few days, or hopefully, many, many years, I can't help but feel this little soul was meant to be with you. We say around my house, "everything happens for a reason." We don't always know what that reason is, but it usually comes to light, eventually

Keep us updated. There's a bunch of us on the edge of our seats, hoping he'll be okay!

Thank you both of you. He’s had a good day today but sometimes I fear that means he’ll have a bad day tomorrow. Such a rollercoaster!

Rollercoaster indeed! I would say, consider the fact that he has these good days that he never, ever had without you. THAT is a true gift, my friend, and worthy of celebrating :-D

Look at his hat! I'm quite sure he's determined to get better, the little sweetheart. Let's be grateful for each day as it comes and hope this gorgeous little fellow wins his battle. Hannah, you are just *awesome*! XX

So glad to wake up to this positive report! Keep it up, both of you!!!! [emoji3590]

It is so good to see him looking so alert in the latest video, what a difference! It is truly a testament to the wonderful care you are giving him, and to his fighting spirit.

I think you and Pip are both amazing.
