Question on Macaws (rescue)

I am going to a home to pick up two Military Macaws ( a breeding pair) that are very much in need of a new home. They have been living in a filthy home made cage out in the garage for 3 years and have not been played with, or let out of the cage. I know that they are going to be very mean and bite since my first blue gold macaw was a rescue bird and it took some broken fingers of mine to tame her. I am still very nervous about these two birds and hoping that i am doing the right thing for them. They have never had their wings clipped either so I am afraid that they will fly and I will not be able to of get ahold of them.

Do you think that I will have any luck in taming these birds or is it a lost cause?
