Hi everyone! ^-^
From the depths of the Netherlands I come to you. I'm hoping to get a rainbow lorikeet soon and I am just full of questions.
1. He/she will then be about 7 weeks old. Is that an appropriate age to get a bird at? Will I have to feed her or will she be self-sufficient?
2. At what age can I start potty-training her?
3. Is this the kind of bird that goes to sleep when you put a dark cloth over her cage?
4. If not, is it appropriate for the bird to have her cage outside during the summer and inside during the winter? (I have a studio appartement, so if she starts screaming at 6AM in the summer, that might be a problem..). She would of course be inside when I'm home .
5. Is it better for the bird to have a buddy? I've heard it's a lot harder to tame and train them if you have two. But wouldn't the bird get lonely if I'm away during the day? Is there anything else I can do to prevent that?
