RIP Oliver Percival Archimedes McBudgie

I’m so sorry for your loss. I always find it heartwarming when people care for their parrots like they do their cats/dogs, and give them a burial. It’s so respectful, and shows that parrots aren’t just an ornament in a cage.

Oh no, @GivemeSeedsorgivemeFlesh, I'm so sorry to hear this very sad news. I hope you can take at least a little comfort in knowing that Ollie had the very best life that he ever could've had with you. My very deepest condolences go out to you, and my love and hugs too. Ollie will be there to meet you one day at the Bridge, and he will do so with love 💖 💖 💖

Thank you all. I miss his little greeting stretch. And his hello "meow". And his blue fluffies. But at least Juliette comes home Saturday. I'll have to post pictures of her castle once I stop re re arranging it.

The silence is one of the hardest things to cope with when we lose a bird. You'll be honouring Ollie's memory in the best way possible by giving another bird a loving home, Juliette is going to have such a blessed life with you 💖

Our birds are so precious and fragile. It sounds like Ollie had a health problem that finally got the best of him but he put up a pretty good fight and was taken care of so well. I seriously doubt an avian vet would have been able to do anything for Ollie other than perhaps diagnose a problem that couldn't be treated. That's why I don't take Mariah in. She's much better but she's still not right and hasn't been for the year I've had her. As long as she's eating well and not in distress I'm going to let nature take its course like you did for Ollie. I'm looking forward to lots of posts about Juliette.
