There is a cage on craigslist, the person is claiming they have never used it however it is very dirty and rusty from sitting in a storage unit.

Can it be saved if I bought it? I was thinking I could sand off the rust and repaint it somehow (with non toxic paint.)

It's a 40x 30x 72 dometop cage for 175.00 US dollars. I was going to see if I could talk them down to 125 since it needs alot of work.

Thoughts? Can it be fixed?

This would be used as an temporary/emergancy cage. A backup, since the huge corner cage I have can't be moved. :blue1:

I can assure you any paint you use will be quickly removed by your feathered demolition crew. Powder-coating something that large is no small task either.

I think it all boils down to just how much rust there is.
