What's with the fake owl?

I wish I had a picture of what my budgies did today. I caught little Tiki, Big Fluffy's bestie, try to mount Fluffy! Tiki jumped on Fluffys back and slipped down to his tail as Fluffy just walked away dragging Tiki on his tail. My budgies are very strange sometimes.

What's with the fake owl?

A former friend of mine gave it to me some years ago, and I have since kept it as a 'protection spirit' . I also keep it for the day I get a balcony. My birds don't even notice it, LOL!

Some people put those outdoors to scare critters and birds away but they seldom work. I have neighbors that put them on their lake floats to scare ducks and geese but since when do owls perch over open water during the daytime? They must think waterbirds are stupid!
They figure out pretty fast that it's not real. I've even seen birds perch on a plastic owl's head!

Yep!
Many people have them on their balconies as pigeon decoys up here, but they seldom work. I like mine for decoration.
