Shelby is gorgeous!

My amazon loves being petted. Hang in there, Kelly! Although right now he is screaming, lol! Rowdy started it, and he happily joined in.

You're correct. She is very quiet and tame for a Too. She'll go to anyone even children. She does have a slight problem with my wife Patty and I think Shelby believes she's competition, so we'll work on that !

We adopted her from a rescue and although she wasn't abused I don't think she was taught to play, is that possible for a Too ? lol !!!!
Seriously, she has no idea on what to do with the typical bird toys. I have a small cat ball that has a bell inside and I had to put it into my teeth and shake it to let her know it's a toy !

She now picks it up and throws it around, so,oooo cute !

We also bought several of toys that are wood, plastic etc,. and she wont play with them. Is that possible that a "Too",...... doesn't know how to play ??? lol,.!!!!

Any other ideas other than me playing with them first ?
(that just looks damn silly) lol !!!

It's been taking Pete forever to really play with his toys. You should see him now though. I replaced 4 wood blocks today alone. She will eventually.

woops sorry... she. *

you could try just leaving the toys around her until she just figures it out. that's what
i do with the fids most of the time when they don't take to toys. eventually.. i find
them destroyed lol!

She is just gorgeous! :)

I cant believe I just saw this ! Shelby is so pretty , love her head dress , lolol.
Beautiful picture of her outside. I would like to see a harness on her next time she is outside Kev :)

Oh what a pretty Too! And I like the name. Congrats on the baby.

We were on the floor the other day, so I took one of the wood toys and acted like I was chewing on it, then she did. Most of her seemingly play time, is on my office desk while I'm on the computer. Today, she tore up some paper, pushed around the bolts laying here, then, she picked up the tool wrench and really husked it around ! Really tough ! lol !!!

She's gonna be my little helper mechanic with her Paw. lol

Shelby's Outdoor Cage

We just bought it from a family that lost their three Cockatails to smoke from their house fire. SO,...SAD !

Both dog's survived though.

We paid $75 with the playtop, perchs, s.s bowls, trays etc, and I think, it's an A&E.

It was professionally cleaned by a smoke damage company at the time they cleaned the entire house, but I still power washed it, bleached, then sprayed down with the cage cleaner and wiped dry.

We need to buy a fit cover or tarp, since it will be in the garage or on the deck during the season.

It's just the right size to go through the front door and deck door for when I'm working on cars out front, in the garage or when Patty and I are in the garden's and pond. It came with the poop guards/skirting, but won't use them anyway, as when attached it won't go out the doors.

What a pretty birdie!

Hey, some critters just don't "get" toys - we had a dog who had no idea why she should even attempt to catch food tossed to her, never mind a ball!

But with a bird, repetition will usually help them "get it" as you have discovered with the jingle ball!
