I have read over and over in this forum not to over stimulate your bird by petting the back or wings. Such stimulation can lead to surges in hormones. Not a good thing. Stick to petting on the top of the head.
My conure does not like for me to pet top of the head. Just her personality I guess. But sometimes she leans the side of her into my hand and seeks a rub. Is this OK? Normal? Or should be avoided?
Any thoughts?
