some of my pc keys arent workin

as you can tell by te title, some of te keys on my pc are not workin. tats wy tere are missin letters. I am so annoyed. I cant use te esc key or te two keys next to f. and tats wy words like cant arent spelled rit because some of te punctuation keys are broken.

Clearly, you have not been a Parrot owner long enough to not have a supplemental Key Board that can easily connect to your lap top or power tower.

Or maybe her burds aren’t very destructive! I doubt most budgies could take a key off unless they’re really working at it, and budgies have the attention span of an ant. LOL. I don’t know about tiels, though, I haven’t seen a lot of posts about tiels destroying computers, but who knows?

If your keyboard goes to a tower, I would unplug it, take it outside, turn it upside down, and gently tap on the keyboard to get all of the dust and debris out of it. Then try plugging it back in. If it is a lap top you could try some can air, but you would want to do that outside far away from your birds.

My birds didn't do anything to my PC, which is why I am so confused as to why it's not working. But it was an old PC when I got it two years ago.

I don't use it a lot... I started using it a bit more recently. I'm going to take a small hand vacuum and suck everything up, maybe that'll help.

Keys fail most commonly because the switch under the Key is gone, not functioning, or there is something between the Key and the switch that no longer allows full travel of the switch.
With Parrots, it is commonly caused by their removal of the Key 'or' a build-up of stuff between the Key and the top of the computer, which limits travel and causes the Switch not to work.
There are compressed air canisters that are used to blow-out build-up between the Key and the top of the computer. There are commonly a last resort before moving on to a new Key Board or Laptop.

I will second that cockatiels can definitely wreck a keyboard. Mine destroyed the letter "u' on my old laptop. So whenever I needed to reference the word "you" or the use the letter "u". I would just type "ewe".
