I already have 4 smaller birds and have been contemplating about a cockatiel, but I thought my hubby would kill me if I got another bird. :D (he likes to sleep in late, and they can get really loud in the mornings)
We went to clip Parry's nails yesterday and there was a lady with two cockatiels there. My hubby just fell in love with them and asked if we could get one!!! YAY!! :D He loved their voices too.
Anyway - my question is if the color mutations have any impact on their character. Please don't laugh - I've done a lot of research on them, but didn't find anything about that. :o I think probably not, but asking just in case. By looking at them it feels to me that lutinos could have somewhat mellow temper compared to grey ones. I personally like standard colored ones the most.

Yay:D good news for you!
I don't think color has anything to do with personality, but I wonder if the normals are generally hardier birds genetically than the mutations, especially ones with more complicated genetics involved in their outward appearance?
There are so many pretty colors they come in. Can't wait to see what you choose, and pics of course too!

While raising all different coloration I find that I like whiteface males the best as to me they're more mellow and sweet. So I asked a few breeders in the past and they agreed with me. But over all, they're all the same, it just depends on how they were raised. Some males can get a bit cranky as they mature where they need strict training.
