tacocaT is enjoying some sunshine and wild birds at the feeder. It’s just shy of 80 degrees (26 Celsius) and he is so intrigued by the bird feeder and pond outside.

What type of daily enrichments do you offer your birds? Special TV shows/YouTube videos, cleverly placed bird feeders, music, activities, outings?

I’d like to get him to the point where he’s comfortable with a harness so he can go hiking during mild weather.

I’d like to see these answers, too. Like, what kind of tv I could put on for the birds and how long per day?

I don’t watch tv but if it would give them something to do, I’m happy to use it. I do remember scary shows used to scare Lucy when we’d happen to see them.

Would kids shows be good? Like Sesame Street (if that’s still on) or Dora the Explorer?

I just adopted my bird from a fairly busy rescue he'd been at since December. Today was the first day I've had to go in to work so I have Parrot Town TV playing while I'm gone since he's not used to being alone. I played it a bit yesterday to see how he'd react and he seems to like when the IRN is on the screen, and when the cockatoo vocalizes (the rescue had three cockatoos that were pretty chatty).

I haven't found much online yet about potential harm aside from the screen refresh rate (mine is set to 120Hz so it shouldn't appear flickering to Cotton). I go back and forth whether I should keep the screen covered and just play the sounds; I'll have to experiment and see how he reacts.

So far today when I check on him he's seemed comfortable and playing off an on; how much of this is having bird sounds/visuals I don't know but as long as it's not harming him I'll keep it up.

On the other hand, I find Parrot Town TV very relaxing for myself on my second computer monitor at work

This would be SO much fun! He seems like such a curious, chill little guy so far, I bet he'd really enjoy that.

I play rainforest sounds on my Alexa when I’m out of the house which leaves Taco chirping like a frog šŸ˜‚

That's adorable!!
