For about 3 weeks now Buddy has been super sweet, he's in season and a major flurt. Buddy is a 24 year old Mexican Redhead that came to live with us in March 2014 after his owners (distant family) passed away. I have been told that Buddy has an extensive vocabulary but has been a "closet talker" meaning he will say some things on and off, or when I am not in the same room or viewable by him. Over the Christmas holiday, I've been in the kitchen quite a bit, Buddy is in his cage and he can't see me. He's not allowed in the kitchen when the stove or a lot of activity is going on. On Christmas Eve he was throwing every sound at me trying to get my attention, me, I was focused and working. Then he starts talking, it wasn't clear but he kept talking and I was able to understand he was saying "oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, oh boy" over and over again. Later he was yelling "WOW" which we have thought we heard him say. If I come in the room he stops. He was so desperate he started throwing kisses and yelling "Oh Boy!".
I'm hoping I can find a way to get him to share more of his vocabulary but at the same time I wonder if he's "sharing" more because he's feeling.... randy? Please weigh in here and thanks!
