Tiny bald spot near my Quaker’s eye

Hi everyone,

I noticed a tiny bald spot in front of my quaker's eye, and I’m wondering if this is something I should be concerned about.

He's 3 years old. He was rehomed to me about 6 months ago, and I remember there was a very faint mark in that area back then, but it wasn’t very noticeable. Recently, it seems like it has become more visible, which made me start paying more attention to it.

It doesn’t seem causing obvious discomfort, but I’m not entirely sure what’s normal vs. something to watch out for.

Has anyone seen something similar before? Is this something that usually resolves on its own, or should I consider having it checked by an avian vet?

Your bird is very handsome! That bald spot is a little weird. It’s in an area of the face that naturally has less feathers but it shouldn’t be completely bald. Do you think there’s anything he does on a regular basis that could be causing it? I’m thinking something like rubbing against the bars or a toy for example. In the pictures, the skin doesn’t look irritated which is good. I would keep an eye on it and if it gets worse, it would probably be worthwhile to have it checked by an avian vet.
